Our story
WaveSurfer's journey began in the summer of 2008, when Karel Dubois, our founder and owner, decided to merge his fascination with extreme water sports with his expertise in stainless steel manufacturing. Within a few months, we produced the first WaveSurfer prototype, and our adventure took off. The same year, we introduced the WaveSurfer mobile unit on trailers, collaborating with the Belgian specialist tour operator "Outside" to promote surfing among the youth.
The rest is history: located in West Flanders, Belgium, our factory has grown into a state-of-the-art facility with over 5,000 m² of production space, including an additional 2,500 m² for further development, training, expeditions, and logistics. WaveSurfer stands out as the sole supplier globally with an integrated facility encompassing R&D, design, production, installation, training, and service. This comprehensive approach ensures that all expertise is housed within WaveSurfer, making us a leader in the surf ride manufacturer industry.
